Congress

Venue

The congress will take place in the main building of the University of Vienna, which has been a center for research and teaching since 1884. It is centrally located in Vienna on the Ringstraße, close to the Burgtheater, City Hall, Parliament, and the Hofburg. Guided by the idea of achieving a triumph of light over darkness in its architecture, the building was designed by Heinrich von Ferstel (1828–1883) and adorned by numerous artists, including Gustav Klimt (1862–1918), who contributed to the decoration of the ceremonial hall. The centerpiece of the building is the open arcaded courtyard (Arkadenhof), which offers ample opportunities for gathering and exchange. Despite extensive repairs and structural modifications—whether due to damage from the world wars or to adapt to the latest technological advancements—the main building has always retained its representative yet welcoming character.

During the congress, numerous lecture halls and seminar rooms will be available.
