Rights and Guidelines for the Use of the Logo of the
25th International Congress of Byzantine Studies

1. Ownership: The logo of the 25th International Congress of Byzantine Studies (ICBS) is the exclusive intellectual property of the committee. Unauthorized use is not permitted unless expressly authorized by the ICBS Committee.
2. Permitted Use: The logo may be used in the context of the 25th International Congress of Byzantine Studies without the need for explicit written approval from the ICBS Committee, but only for the following specific purposes:
   1. Official events, publications, or materials supported by the ICBS Committee (e.g., in presentations or on posters at the Congress).
   2. Collaborative academic projects or conferences co-organized with the ICBS Committee in the context of the Congress.
   3. Educational or scholarly purposes that align with the values of the ICBS and have been previously approved.
3. Prohibited Use: The logo may not be used for the following purposes without prior approval:
   1. Commercial purposes, such as advertising, merchandise, or profit-driven business activities.
   2. Any use that falsely suggests endorsement or affiliation with the ICBS Committee, without proper authorization.
   3. In inappropriate contexts that could damage the reputation or image of the ICBS.
4. Modification of the Logo: The logo must be used exactly as provided by the ICBS Committee, without changes to its colors, proportions, dimensions, elements, or accompanying text. Any resizing or adaptation must maintain the original aspect ratio and appearance of the logo.
5. Attribution: When the logo is used in an official context, appropriate attribution to the 25th International Congress of Byzantine Studies should be made. This can include a brief statement acknowledging the ownership of the logo and permission for its use.
6. Revocation of Rights: The ICBS Committee reserves the right to revoke permission for the use of the logo at any time if it is determined that the terms of use have been violated or the logo has been used inappropriately.
7. Application Process: Any individual, institution, or organization wishing to use the logo should submit a request to the ICBS Committee outlining the intended use and duration of the usage. All requests will be reviewed, and permission may be granted with specific conditions or restrictions.
8. Legal Enforcement: Unauthorized use of the logo may result in legal action. The ICBS Committee reserves all rights to protect its intellectual property.
